There’s about to be a new man in charge of Suffolk County’s real estate division: Chris Kent takes command April 9. Currently the Town of Riverhead’s deputy supervisor, Kent – who has a law degree from Hofstra University – will oversee 44 staffers and a $3 million budget, running property acquisitions for open space, parkland and farmland and managing properties acquired because of tax problems.
